I'm a multimedia producer and learning experience designer who blends video production, sound engineering, graphic design, and web development to deliver clear, engaging content. My work often focuses on education and the arts, and is shaped by a lifelong practice of interdisciplinary creation.
I studied digital and physical media at an art school that valued broad exploration, where working across mediums was not just encouraged but expected. That foundation shaped the way I approach multimedia: as an ongoing dialogue, where each skill informs the others. Today, I produce online learning experiences, document artists and musicians, compose music, and build digital environments that prioritize clarity without sacrificing character.
As a Senior Learning Experience & Media Designer at the University of Michigan, I produce online courses and digital content for the Marsal Family School of Education. I've also led production work for the Center for Academic Innovation and the Duderstadt Center, with a focus on educational storytelling. Over the past decade, I've worked on hundreds of projects—including lecture series, faculty interviews, animation packages, and mixed-media explainers—for learning platforms including Coursera, edX, and Michigan Online.
My strength lies in producing content that aligns with educational intent and connects clearly with its audience. I also work hard to build trust and comfort behind the scenes. From camera and lighting setups to editing and post-production, I shape environments where instructors can perform at their best to craft polished, impactful videos.
I've also led high-performing creative teams, managing complex projects while protecting space for individual strengths to emerge. In past roles, I shaped production pipelines, mentored designers and editors, and advocated for thoughtful collaboration across departments.
My video and photo work focuses on artists, musicians, and educators—sometimes in professional studios, but often in nontraditional spaces like basements, libraries, and outdoor settings. I document people in their element, working quietly and attentively to capture real moments without disrupting them. Whether I'm filming a performance or shooting a portrait, I aim for clarity, mood, and emotional accuracy.
In college, I produced a thesis project exploring memory and perception, combining large-scale video projection with a live concert performance. That experience pushed me to develop skills across the full spectrum of multimedia production, from concept to execution. Today, I lead projects from beginning to end with an eye toward visual cohesion and detail. My photography work has appeared in exhibitions, including Garden, a series featured in the Organic Matter art exhibition at the Stephen S. Clark Library in 2019. A digital version of the series is available here.
As a young child, I was fascinated by the way stories could be told through images, and I recreated scenes I saw on TV as comic strips. This early practice taught me to think in frames and sequences—skills that shaped my interest in visual communication. By high school, I was designing page layouts for the school newspaper, learning to guide the reader's eye through hierarchy, structure, and careful composition.
I carry this love for art and design into every project. Whether I’m building websites, creating custom icons, or arranging text and visuals, I always have the same goal: to curate content that feels cohesive and intuitive for the viewer. For years, I built custom website packages for artists and small businesses, tailoring each design to reflect their voice. That blending of form and function still drives my process. Whenever possible, I infuse my multimedia projects with bespoke graphic elements, creating visuals that enhance both the story and the user experience.
